Hajj Mission
In anticipation of this year’s 6,000 Muslim Filipinos intending to perform their obligatory pilgrimage to Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) has send a team to negotiate the best possible services at most minimum cost. Mutya ng NCMF @ NCMF-Central Office, Quezon City
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos’ (NCMF) observance of the International Women’s Month culminated last night with a Closing Program in which the first-ever Mutya ng NCMF Advocacy Pageant was crowned and certain employees were honored in recognition of their commitment to work.
Ms. Nelmirah Hadji Abdullah won the “Mutya ng NCMF Advocacy Pageant” Title. She also won the awards for Ms. Photogenic, Best in Gown and Best in Uniform.

In spite its claim to "Balanced News", the Philippine Daily Inquirer has again shown its mean streak of irresponsible and discriminatory reporting.
In the May 9, 2012 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, a photo of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III shaking the hand of a Muslim woman clad in a niqab or burqa appeared on the front-page with the caption lead-in: “SECURITY RISK?”

Pres. Aquino named Atty. Mehol K. Sadain as the new NCMF Secretary and other four commissioners
President Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III signed on April 13, 2012 the appointment of Atty. Mehol K. Sadain as secretary/chief executive
officer of NCMF and also as "amirul hajj" (head of Philippine Hajj Mission) for Hajj 2012.
Atty. Sadain, a former commissioner of the Commission on Elections (Comelec),
appointed to pave way on the forthcoming annual pilgrimage of the Muslim Filipinos in Makkah,
Saudi Arabia and to take in hand the needs and welfares of the Muslim Filipinos.

Clean-up drive program of BMS
The bureau of muslim settlements assembled in the Central Office for the scheduled Clean up Drive cum Feeding Program last February 11, 2012 and proceeded to Salam Compound, Barangay Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City together with the students of Mary the Queen College of Science and Technology numbering to more than one hundred forty (140) including BMS staff.
